The Cross Keys

Well located, in quiet Lower Bridge Street amongst the good selection of restaurants, this is an unremarkable place. Typical of the English pub as it was in the sixties and seventies, it shows no sign of the changes for the better that that worthy institution has made in recent years.
A curious arrangement of areas on different levels adds no character to it. Panelled walls, brass fittings and interesting old photographs do little to help. It is always quiet, though apparently popular with coppers from the nearby police station.
Beers are well kept and priced lower than the norm, but there is little else to attract you. This is a curious time capsule.

What's on offer: Boddington's bitter, Stella Artois,

Prices: Inexpensive

Toilets: OK
