The Fat Cat

Chester's version of a Fulham yuppie pub, this is where the guys and girls in suits loosen up evenings and weekends. Cream painted brick walls and a wood floor give this basement bar and restaurant a smart, homely feel. The bar sells a wide variety of beers, including what is probably the most expensive scoop in town, Belgian Hoegaarden on draught (with a slice of lemon) at over three quid a pint.
The restaurant has several wooden trestle tables in cosy vaults and an extensive menu features a wide variety of American-type food.
Staff wear uniform and are always charming. A good place for a relaxed yet entertaining night out. Open for breakfast (and you can get a very good fried breakfast all day long). Good music selection.

What's on offer: Draught Hoegaarden, Draught Becks, Boddingtons, Club sandwich, Cheeseburger with, chips & salad, Medallions of pork, All day breakfast,

Prices: Moderate

Toilets: Clean and functional
